ABout Ms. Flynn
I am thrilled that we are going to be learning and growing together this year! One of my favorite things about being a teacher is getting to know each one of my students -- their hopes, their dreams, what makes them happy and how I can help them reach their full potential. Here's a little bit about me:
I'm a native of Michigan, but grew up for most of my years in Littleton, Colorado. I taught third grade there for two years and then moved to Alexandria, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. There, I taught third grade for another three years before moving to a multi-age classroom with students from Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade levels.
I took a break from teaching when I had twin girls, Audrey and Mia, in 2005, and after much research, my husband and I decided to move to Madison to raise our kids. I was a stay-at-home mom until the girls were Kindergarten age, when I decided I was ready get back into the classroom. I have taught both Kindergarten and Third Grade at Elm Lawn, and am excited to have the opportunity and the privilege of working with your child and helping them grow!
